One of the most impressive dahlias we grow. This variety was hybridized by Paul Bloomquist and towers over other varieties, reaching up to 7 feet in our field. Coloring is a dusty maroon and can also take on a rusty red tone. Although it is a larger bloom, it still works well in bouquets. Good tuber production and stores well.

Farm Practices

Listing is for 1 tuber. All tubers are grown on our farm using sustainable practices and are never imported. We carefully inspect and discard any tubers showing signs of disease to ensure the highest quality.

Please note that tubers are temperature-sensitive and will ship in the spring. Shipping typically begins in early April.

Harvesting Dahlias

Dahlias have a vase life of 4–7 days if harvested at the optimal stage. Unlike some flowers, dahlias do not continue to open significantly after being cut. For the best vase life, harvest stems when the bloom is nearly fully open, ensuring there are no signs of wilting on the back of the petals.

Guarantee

Please inspect tubers immediately upon arrival. Please keep in mind that tubers are roots. We guarantee all tubers will be viable, but if you have questions or concerns, please reach out to our team within 48 hours of delivery.
